MILEA WINERY . Argalasti, South Pelion
Milea Winery is a family-run business in the epicentre of Pelion’s peninsula near the village of Argalasti.
Formerly an apple orchard, the property had been unattended for several years and overgrown with bramble when Lazaros and Susannah purchased the site in 2006.
Lazaros sensed the potential of the property and the region as a whole, to become one of Greece’s premier vineyard sites.
Lazaros and Susannah cleared the land in the summer of 2007 but preserved the cypress trees surrounding the property that later became the inspiration for the winery logo.

Our philosophy is a simple one: to craft elegant single vineyard wines that accurately depict the site and story of each vintage.
In the winery, we don’t believe in recipes or repetition.
We pay great attention to detail at every stage of our winemaking process just as each harvest season shows different characteristics, we let every vintage tell its own story.
We practice sustainable farming methods having a hands-on attitude, from the tending of our vines, thoughtful winemaking process, to the simplicity of our packaging.
